PRICE
Emma’s hourly rate is $180p/h.
She no longer offers extended day rates for larger pieces, you can expect a full day of tattooing (maximum 6.5 hours) to cost $1170. If your tattoo is incomplete you may need to book an additional appointment to continue. Smaller requests around palm size are more than welcome, enjoyable to create and easily completed, priced hourly.
Georgia’s hourly rate is $150p/h.
She is all up and running, established in her style and currently charging $150p/h with a $120 minimum for all smaller pieces that take less than an hour.
A full day booking is now 6.5 hours of tattoo time. We take a 30 minute lunch break. If you book a full day, please expect to be in the studio up to 8 hours total. This is to allow time for placement of stencil in the morning, any adjustments to the design, breaks and payment/aftercare education following. Tattoo machine down no later than 7pm.
Please be respectful of preparation time. We only charge for tattoo time, so please be considerate of our time outside of tattooing. Being decisive of design, placement, size etc is helpful.
QUOTES
We give quotes online.
It is difficult to quote online without the required information. Quotes are just an estimate of how long we think a tattoo will take to complete. There are many variables that can affect how long a tattoo may take.
To help us give you the most accurate quote possible, we ask for a brief description of your idea. Please include some reference images to help determine imagery or style, a measurement in cm, advise us on colour or black and grey, placement on the body, and to let us know if the skin is compromised in anyway.
Quotes are only estimates, if it takes longer than expected you will be charged for the hours it took to complete and not the estimated quote given. Please understand that there are many variables that can affect the duration of the tattoo process, though we try our hardest to quote accurately. This is one reason why it is important you give us a clear request, so we can quote as accurate as possible for all of our benefit.
If the tattoo takes over 6.5 hours (full day) a follow up appointment is arranged to complete it.
Multiple bookings will be suggested for larger tattoo projects.
BREAKS WHILE TATTOOING: Be mindful of how many breaks you require and your expectation of the artists time and ability to complete your tattoo.
Returning clients, I know some of you have come to me for a long time. I hope for your appreciation and consideration of these new boundaries. many times I have tattooed for longer to complete your tattoos. On every occasion that I stayed late it was by choice and a gift. I feel now there can be a disappointment or expectation. Please be aware my life outside of tattooing is equally important, and with many challenges happening including inflation and product price increases, I cannot continue to absolve these additional costs.
DESIGNS
We do not charge for designs BUT only design once a deposit has been paid. If a design has been created and you do not show to your appointment, or go ahead with the tattoo, you forfeit your deposit. This covers the cost of the time the artist spent making the design, and any loss of income suffered to the artist on the day.
It is not unusual for clients to see their design the day before or the day of their appointment, especially for smaller pieces. We often design digitally, which makes it easy to make amendments on the day together.
- Illustrative pieces. You can expect your design to be an outline only. This will show you the composition and size. Colours and styles can be discussed together and imagery can be shown to help visualize a fully rendered/coloured piece prior to starting the tattoo process.
- Realism/watercolour pieces. We often use photo reference, this does not require any drawing. Often for Floral and Realism pieces photoshop is used to combine imagery and adjust colours, hues etc. For these styles do not expect to see a ‘sketch’.
- Dotwork pieces. We may show you an outline, though the tattoo will be made using dots often a cleaner tattoo is made when the stencil/design is prepared using an outline. We can explain and use imagery to help you visualize the completed look.
We trust that you have looked through our portfolios of work and are happy with what we produce prior to contacting us for a tattoo.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK
Please take responsibility for your tattoo. Do your own research. Tattoos are a procedure that require care and consideration.
- MIND YOUR HEALTH. Please understand a tattoo is an invasive procedure. Managing your health leading up to and following your tattoo is important. Ensure you are getting enough sleep, are hydrated and that your immune system isn’t compromised. If your body is under strain it might result in a more painful or extended healing process, including jeopardizing the look of your tattoo once healed. The artists also appreciate a healthy respectful client.
- UNDERSTAND YOUR SKIN. Be aware that your skin may effect the completed look of your tattoo. Scars, stretchmarks, sunburn, freckles, pigment, age etc will all be variables that effect the overall look or outcome of your tattoo. Preparing your skin by ensuring its clean, hydrated and exfoliated will help aid the tattooist. be sure to not over expose your tattoo to the sun prior or after your appointment.
- KNOW WHAT YOU WANT. When considering what you are thinking of getting, understand that artists specialise in different styles. Take the time to look through your artists portfolio of work to ensure you are asking for work within their abilities, style and interests. Collect references and learn what style it is you are wanting. Imagery can be made many ways.
DEPOSITS.
YOU MUST PAY A DEPOSIT for each appointment. Your appointment is void unless this has been paid. It is very important to do this as soon as possible to secure your booking. Once an appointment is made we will advise on deposit details.
The deposit is deducted from the total cost of the tattoo each session.
HOUSE KEEPING.
Please be considerate and understand that tattooing is a process that requires high concentration. Please advise if you plan on bringing a support person, sometimes we may not be able to have multiple people in the space. Please leave your children at home.
